Software based TDMA over 802.11 hardware

SoftTDMA is a software platform for Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) MAC protocol development over commodity 802.11 hardware. Unlike previous forays into this type of software development (SoftMAC, MultiMAC), our platform is able to achieve microsecond level precision in terms of scheduling transmission times, thus allowing us to develop TDMA MAC protocols with very precise timing characteristics. Our software platform is available as a Linux kernel userspace library, and can also be ported into network simulators, allowing for fast prototyping of new MAC protocols.
